Thinking outside the box

It is always nice when people come in with wonderful ideas that you never even thought of doing!
Carpet inlays we do with hardwood flooring, but could we do them with coretec? The answer is yes. Coretec is a LVT/ LVP product that has a water proof core and a water resistant top.  This is a wonderful floor to put everywhere (except a RV - we can go into that later on another post).
 Coolest pallet wall ever!!

They put the same carpet in the bedrooms that they did in the inset.  This inset made it so that they had a nice comfortable 'rug' that they dont have to worry about it moving around!
I LOVE what the did with the flooring that they picked out! It was perfectly designed to fit into their home the way that they wanted it to!!!
Thank you, Thank you for sharing your pictures with us!!

New Flooring in a crunch!

One of our amazing customers was caught off guard with how fast her home sold and needed to be installed ASAP! We have a few rolls in stock here so she picked something that she liked.

Carpet is a Grey tone-on-tone ( I know sometimes it can be hard to tell in the pictures)

These are just a few pictures of the job installed and ready for them to move into their new home.

That is the nice thing about being able to have a large inventory of in stock carpet.

Sometimes you have to look harder...

Being part of a small family owned business in a small (getting bigger) town there are many return customers, new customers that come in.  Some we help with more than the floors that we install.  For a floor that we did not install, we did help our customer with a solution.
When LVT (luxury vinyl tile) first came out, there were no moldings.  Some companies have come out with matching moldings, and some have only got corresponding moldings (that sometimes are not the favorite of the consumer because they do not correspond very well).  But when you look really hard, you can find what you are looking for.  The LVT (like tile) can chip on the edges if it is not protected. LVT is more soft than tile and installed differently so tile usually wont need a molding.  But... in the cases of LVT when you do need a molding, look at other brands, sometimes they will have what you are looking for.

This tile, molding combination are not the same brand.  They are made from similar material so it is okay to combine, but check and do it SMART.

As far as the pictures go... I think it looks spot on!

So long story short, take the time to look around.  Sometimes you have to settle and sometimes you don't.  There are many options even though sometimes they are not "by the book".

Cleaning Tip ~ tid bit~

Cleaning is only fun to do when after you are finished cleaning, you feel accomplished.  What you cleaned looks A-M-A-zing!  Believe it or not, I feel this same way.  Being that we have posted LOTS of things on the LVT/ LVP I just wanted to share some secret things that we have discovered in our cleaning ventures.
A bit of a back story for you...
So there I was ( that is how great stories start) at work sitting at the desk probably writing emails, or sending bids and it is time to clean the new-er floors.  This is something of interest to us being that when we installed our flooring they told us that with the rolling office chairs the floor was not warranted.  Being the dirt and other things get into the rollers and grind into our floor, it is really hard on the finish that is on the LTP.  I got on my hands and knees and I scrubbed and wiped.  After the floor was clean, I stood up to look at the final product. TA DA... looked a little more dual than I was hoping.
Later that week I was doing some cleaning and I found an old vinyl cleaning friend that I had forgotten about.  Being that LVP/ LVT is in fact a vinyl product LVT ( luxury vinyl tile)/ LVP (luxury vinyl plank)... VINYL! Shine keeper was something that would bring back the SHINE believe it or not.
So this is what the shine keeper looks like! It is made by Armstrong.
Miracle worker!
The next picture is of the floor.
The top is the floor that I have washed and dried.  The bottom is the floor that I used the shine keeper on.

The picture was taken on the same day just after the product dried.
super SHINY!
