Flippy House coming to a finish

So it has been a long time coming... but the house is almost finished (phew!) The knotty alder cabinets and grainte countertop with engineered wood flooring.  We also got a new microwave oven for over the stove are to get a fan for over the stove.  From here on out the pictures of the house will dwindle until it is complete. We are going to creat an 'unvealing' of the house when it is complete.  We are pretty excited about it.

Wood Laminate Stairs

Laminate on the stairs can be slippery but it can be really beautiful.

I love the dark laminate...

There is going to be more with these later to come.

Surfaces Convention 2013

Surfaces is a flooring convention that happens every year in Las Vegas Nevada.  We went down this year to look at all the new styles for 2013.  Looking around it was very clear that grey is coming back (I have a feeling this may be because of the book '50 shades of grey' but I never read the book so I cant be sure).  There were many things that I liked that were introduced... and many things that I think could have been done with out.  I suppose that is why we sell what people want, and not what I want.  On a side note I found a few things that I thought would be fun to share ( that deal with flooring) that we saw in Vegas.
(look close, believe it or not this is TURF)

(That's right! Turf, not grass)

(looks so nice I want to install this on my lawn!)

(It was installed around the trees... Maybe because I was raised in the flooring industry I find this super cool... I'm so Weird!)

(I had to take a close up of this carpet because this looks like a bundle of Q-tips haha)
Acacia Wood -not very durable they are finding, but this new laminate that they came up with it looks so real but it holds up sooo much better! We LOVED the way it looked on the floor!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures! There was so many great things there.
